Learning experience is a category dedicated expressly to knowledge sharing.
Reach success by uniting motivation and the student’s active learning together with a passion for learning. Create a relaxed environment to reduce stress in the learning session, thereby unleashing learning.

3 · Who are they useful for?
If you are in the Training Sector
Create challenges that will enhance critical thinking. Design spectacular didactic modules that improve information retention. Prepare your students for real life with more complete and significant training.

Engage your audience with fun challenges. How much do they know about an event? Can they solve all the questions about current events?

4 · What are the characteristics?
4.1 · TEXT
Layers of content
The textual load will vary depending on the template you choose. The Challenges subcategory will have much less text than the Didactic Modules. As always, it’s important that you play with visual metaphors to avoid an excessive amount of text.
4.2 · Pages
Depends on the type of creation.
The number of pages will vary between 1 and 20. A challenge to match words with their definitions, for example, could be one page, while a didactic lesson could contain multiple pages.
4.3 · INTERACTIVITY
Distribute the information in layers
Interactivity is especially important in didactic lessons, where the connection between pages is helpful for navigating among the content.
You can include buttons and markers to draw your students’ attention to the areas with extra content or make use of invisible areas so that they investigate themselves.
4.4 · ANIMATION
Focus the attention.
Animate the entrance of elements by creating aesthetic effects that enrich your creation. Draw your students’ attention to areas with movement.
Remember to use animation in moderation in order to keep their attention on that which is really important.
4.5 · INTEGRATION
Integrate all kinds of external content.
Make use of embedded elements such as videos, timelines, PDFs, audio, etc. especially in didactic lessons, so that they can enrich your creation and maximize learning.

4.6 · CONTENT LOAD

The content load is average, or even low in Challenges, while it is high in the Didactic Modules. Whenever possible, let images and visual metaphors speak for themselves to capture the attention of your students and therefore make your message more memorable.
4.7 · NAVIGATION MODE
Navigation depending on the type of creation
Standard Navigation:
For didactic modules, allows your students to navigate freely through the content, adapting it to their learning style.
Microsite Navigation:
Necessary for challenges, so that the answer is not seen ahead of time. It is also useful in Didactic Modules if you want to be the one who controls the steps between pages. In this case, ensure that the navigation between content is easy. Add an index icon that will allow students to pass through sections in an agile way.
4.8 · BACKGROUNDS
Add static or animated backgrounds.
Combine base backgrounds with canvas backgrounds. Remember that base backgrounds make transitions between pages more visual as well as allow your creation to look amazing on any device.
4.9 · DIMENSIONS
The canvas will be a standard size of 1200 x 675 px.
You can always modify the base canvas size to adapt it to your needs.
4.10 · DISPLAY OPTIONS
Choose the settings that best fit your needs at each moment.
Among the display options, you can keep the share Genially option activated.
Keep the Interactivity Indicator activated if there is a lot of content in layers.
Keep the Interactivity Indicator option deactivated if you're working with a breakout or a gamification in which you use invisible areas to hide clues.
Activate the options for drawing for mazes or word matching as well as the option for dragging for puzzles or challenges with tasks that involve moving elements.
Remember to keep the Full screen option activated so that your creation can be seen in full detail.
5 · Structure
The structure will depend on the type of Learning Experience that you make.
In Challenges, generally speaking, there will be a cover page and a closing page, with questions in between. There can also be creations with only one page. .
In the case of didactic modules, you’ll find space to write the objectives, develop various units, insert a quiz, or even a bibliography.
Make use of templates so that your experience in creating material for your classroom is easy and fast.
6 · Share and download
Work collaboratively and share your creation.
Spread your message with style. As always, the options for sharing and downloading your genially will depend on your plan but you can always create and modify your creation from any computer.
It isn’t recommended to download your creation in jpg or pdf when they are quizzes or didactic modules with a lot of interactivity, although it could be useful for making worksheets.
You can also download in HTML5 in order to maintain the interactivity and animations, however, remember that without a connection to the internet, any embedded content from the web will not be functional (videos, audios, …).
7 · Tricks
Draw
Within settings, you can activate Drawing mode which will allow for drawing or coloring on a creation. This is fantastic for making creations such as connect-the-dots or for making notes on the screen during a presentation.
Drag
If you activate Drag mode , you will allow your students to move elements around the canvas. Increase participation and achieve memorable results.
